The Sumner Planning Board meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 6:30 pm
Property Record Cards are in the Planning Board Room in Map Order folders. Tax maps and the Commitment Book are also in the Planning Board Room. For copies or to see the working property cards, please ask in the Office.

The Scholarship Committee accepts bottle donations all year. Drop off your bag or box on the back porch of the town office. Last year the Scholarship Committee raised over $1500 from bottle donations. Thanks to all of you who support this effort.
Increase Robinson Library and Neighborhood House
The Increase Robinson Library and Neighborhood House has closed for the 2018 season. The Trustees and volunteers extend a sincere thank you to all who visited, toured and borrowed books. A great deal of cleaning and organizing took place this summer, and there are big plans for 2019. Anyone in need of information can send a request to: Diana <dttolman@megalink.net>, Kathryn <Kathryn@IncreaseRobinsonLibrary.org>, or <help@increaserobinsonlibrary.org>. Also, when there is a vehicle in the yard, knock on the door and you will be welcomed inside. The Library will open again in June 2019 (there is no heat source).

You may re-register ATV’s, Boats, and Snow Machines as well as purchase Hunting and Fishing Licenses Sumner is in Wildlife Management Districts 12 and 15.

Road Information:
Chandler Bridge on River Rd will be closed to all traffic as of June 1st, 2017. Based on a bridge inspection and recommendation from MaineDOT, the Chandler Bridge that carries River Road will be closed to all traffic in the next few weeks. Replacing the bridge would be costly and not appropriate for a public road at this time.

Permits:
Transfer Station permits – We have stickers available. When registering a new-to-you vehicle, we will be happy to issue you a new sticker!
Burn permits are available on-line. See www.maineburnpermit.com There is a $7 fee for an on-line permit. You can still contact our local firemen and receive a permit at no cost.

General Information:
The Animal Welfare Society and the Cleo Fund are offering services with participating local veterinary clinics to spay/neuter, health exams and rabies shots at a reduced rate for income-qualified cat owners with a $20.00 contribution requested but not required. Feral and community cats will be spayed or neutered at the clinics for no charge. To obtain vouchers, please call the Cleo Fund at (207)773-6221.
